I apologize for not updating in a while! Here is what your kinders have been working on:
CLASSROOM COMMANDS:
levantanse (rápido, despacio) - get up (fast slow)
siéntense- sit down
toca - touch
muchacho- boy
muchacha- girl
We also practiced numbers 1-10 more during the month of October with a fun, Halloween-y song that is traditionally sung in many Spanish speaking countries (see video below).

In November we took time to learn about a very special Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead (Día de los muertos) by reading a few stories and making beautiful yellow marigold tissue paper flowers. As Thanksgiving neared we listened to another fun song called "Yo soy un pavo" (I am a turkey) and practiced saying "doy gracias por..." (I give thanks for...). Students drew pictures of what they were thankful for.

After returning from Fall break, we turned our focus to family member vocabulary. Practice asking your student who is in your family, and encourage them to sing the Finger Family song!
