Students are working on clothing vocabulary in order to investigate the questions of whether our culture defines what we wear and whether or not we are what we wear. For their project for this unit students will be researching an assigned clothing item that is important to a specific region. Here are the specifics for the project.
Proyecto: La cultura por la ropa
You and a partner will create a PowerPoint presentation (alternative: poster) about an assigned unique type of clothing from the Hispanic world, and will present it to the class.
Your presentation will include the following information en español:
In addition, your presentation will explore a cultural connection as specified in the assignment sheet, e.g. bullfighting for the traje de luces. This part of the presentation should teach something to your classmates and should be adequately illustrated.
You cannot rely only on Wikipedia! We will be spending two class periods in the lab, during which I will help you use on-line databases like Google Scholar, to do your research. You must use at least two such sources and document them in a bibliography. For citation guidelines see the link...
A model presentation is included on Google Classroom, along with this description and a grading rubric.
